Postal Service Disruption

Canada Post service disruption may result in delays in mail being delivered to and from Plannera. To help ensure prompt delivery of your pension or benefit payments, you may wish to consider Direct Deposit as a convenient electronic service. With Direct Deposit, you can have your pension or benefit cheques automatically deposited to your bank account at no extra cost. There are no delays due to mail disruptions and no need for you to deposit your cheque in person.

These Plans provide protection and security in meeting health care needs. They provide coverage of certain medical services and supplies given or ordered by a physician that are not reimbursed or partially reimbursed from the provincial medical plan.

Eligibility for benefits

Active Employees
PS/GE SGEU and CUPE 600

You are eligible to take part in the Plan after you have completed six months of continuous employment.

Out-of-scope Management Employees

You are eligible to take part in the plan on the date your employment begins.

Retirees

If you retire on the first day of the month, you may be immediately eligible to participate if you meet all requirements.

If you retire on a day other than the first day of the month, you maybe eligible to participate if you meet all requirements on the first day of the next month.

Coverage

You must apply for coverage no later than 60 days after you retire.

Your coverage ends when you are:

  • no longer eligible;
  • you stop paying the required premiums; or
  • the policy terminates, whichever is earliest.

To sign up for direct deposit, have your bank account information handy and either:

Register and log into GroupNet for Plan Members for direct deposit online; or

Complete a  Canada Life Banking Information Form and send to Canada Life via fax to (204)946-4699 or email: Grp.ElecEnrollment@gwl.ca
